Global Skill-Up Network

About Us

Who We Are?

Global Skill-Up Network is an education and consultancy organization that serves as a bridge between Türkiye and Germany in the fields of education, employment, professional development, and international cooperation. We work in partnership with and represent various organizations based in Germany that specialize in student admissions and employment placement.

Within this framework, we provide consultancy services to students from Türkiye who wish to pursue associate or bachelor's degree programs in Germany. We guide students through various stages of the process, from identifying universities and programs that match their academic background and educational goals to planning their applications.

We also provide consultancy to individuals who wish to build a career and work in Germany, helping them explore job opportunities that match their educational and professional background, experience, and career goals. In addition to qualified professionals, we aim to support individuals with limited professional experience or those seeking to start a career in a different sector in accessing employment opportunities in Germany.

Our work in education and employment is not limited to services aimed at international opportunities. We also develop training programs designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills they may need to prepare for working life in Türkiye or abroad.

How Do We Work?

Although our consultancy process varies depending on the service area, the general workflow consists of similar steps. Using our most frequently requested service, university applications in Germany, as an example, we have summarized below the steps we typically follow with a student.

1

Finding the Right University

Germany has more than 400 public and private universities. The first step is to choose the institution that best matches your career goals among research universities, universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschule), and academies of art and music. Rather than relying primarily on general rankings, considering the accreditation of the program and the living conditions in the city can lead to a more informed decision.

2

Choosing the Right Program

Germany offers more than ten thousand program options at bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. Determining at an early stage whether the program is taught in German or English, as well as its admission requirements and application deadlines, makes the subsequent steps easier.

3

Understanding the Admission Requirements

Each university and program may determine its own admission requirements. At this stage, you need to determine whether your high school or university diploma qualifies you for admission to higher education in Germany and whether you are required to attend a Studienkolleg.

4

Meeting the Language Requirements

German-taught programs may require certificates such as TestDaF, DSH, or telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule, while English-taught programs may require results from exams such as IELTS or TOEFL. Starting language preparation early can make a significant difference both for admission and everyday life.

5

Planning Your Finances

Although most public universities do not charge tuition fees, semester contributions, accommodation, health insurance, and living expenses must be taken into account. The financial requirements for obtaining a student visa should also be planned at this stage.

6

Applying to the University

Applications can be submitted directly to the university or through centralized platforms such as uni-assist. It is important to have certified translations of your diploma, transcripts, and language certificates prepared before the application deadline.

7

Applying for a Visa

After receiving admission, the next step is to apply for a student visa. Documents such as the blocked account confirmation, health insurance, and admission letter must be prepared completely, and the visa appointment should be scheduled as early as possible.

8

Arranging Accommodation

Making a reliable accommodation plan for the first semester, whether through student housing, a shared apartment, or a private rental, helps ensure a smooth start during the first weeks in Germany.

Tip

The validity period of language exam results and the required minimum level may vary from one university to another. The most reliable approach is to verify the current requirements of the program you plan to apply for directly on the university's official website.

Pre-Application Checklist

  • Have you checked whether your diploma meets the admission requirements for higher education in Germany?
  • Do you have an exam result that meets the program's language requirements, or do you have a preparation plan?
  • Have you prepared certified translations of your diploma and transcripts?
  • Have you created a realistic budget for semester contributions and living expenses?
  • Have you researched blocked accounts or other accepted methods of demonstrating financial sufficiency?
  • Do you have an accommodation plan for your first semester?
